What a class looks like
Each session runs for 2 hours with structured chess instruction. Students follow a professionally designed programme with lessons adapted to their age and playing level. The session includes practical play, mini-tournaments, and ChessKid homework missions to reinforce learning between sessions.

Children aged 5–14 who want to improve their chess skills during the summer holidays. Groups for all levels — beginner and intermediate/advanced. No prior experience needed for beginner groups.

Curriculum & Progression
Structured curriculum
Structured chess curriculum with professionally designed lessons adapted to age and playing level. Supervised by Head Coach FM Pavel Martynov and the Scholastic Chess coaching team, combining professional instruction with a structured learning approach. Every student receives a ChessKid Premium Account for puzzles, lessons and guided practice at home.
Learning Outcomes
Chess strategy and tactics improvement, tournament-style practice, structured homework habits, and consistent improvement through supervised games and mini-tournaments. Small-group learning builds confidence and active participation.

About
A structured summer chess programme designed to help students aged 5–14 improve their chess skills. Running across four weeks in June, July and August 2026, with convenient locations in Central and Lai Chi Kok. Each camp runs for 2 hours per session with beginner (morning) and intermediate/advanced (afternoon) groups. Small classes of 4–6 students ensure personalised attention from FM Pavel Martynov and the Scholastic Chess coaching team.
Before your first class
Arrive 10 minutes early for registration. Bring a water bottle and any personal chess equipment if preferred. Choose the correct level group — beginner (morning) or intermediate/advanced (afternoon).
